You’ll make traditional Weißwurst (Bavarian white sausage) served with sweet mustard, along with pillowy homemade Brezen (pretzels), a warm potato salad with bacon and vinegar, and richly spiced braised red cabbage. For dessert, we’ll bake a rustic Zwetschgenkuchen—a juicy German plum cake with a tender, buttery base.
Whether you’re reconnecting with your roots or just in it for the pretzels, this class is a delicious taste of Southern Germany you won’t want to miss!
- BYOB –We suggest a crisp German Helles lager, a smooth Weissbier (wheat beer), a lightly sweet Riesling, a dry Grüner Veltliner, or a glass of plum brandy (Zwetschgenwasser) to pair beautifully with the plum cake.
