Taco Tuesday Goes Global
We’ve all had (or been) that friend who goes through a breakup, changes their hair, and hits the road with a few blank pages in their passport and a lot of airline miles to burn, right? Well, this is that—but it’s your old friend, Taco Tuesday.
We’ll make tandoori chicken tacos with sweet-tart guava-tamarind chutney and bright, aromatic Balinese sambal matah, plus crispy potato and kimchi tacos with cool dill sour cream. (All of that on hand-made tortillas, naturally!) On the side, Mexican street corn popcorn, because obviously (I mean, think about it. Yes. YES.) And for dessert, avocado ice cream with salty-sweet miso caramel and sesame brittle.
This is a fully hands-on class for curious cooks and adventurous eaters. We’ll borrow flavors and ideas from all over the place, put them together because they taste amazing, and send Taco Tuesday home with some stories. And when it’s time to sit down and eat, Santiago will break out his violin with a little musical accompaniment inspired by wherever dinner has taken us.
BYOB
We’ll have the fixin’s for margaritas, you bring your spirit of choice. Or, if cervezas are more your thing, a good Mexican beer is always appropriate!
