About This Polish Cooking Class
Celebrate the heartwarming flavors of Poland with our Polish Date Night Cooking Experience, a cozy and festive evening held each year just before Mardi Gras. In this hands-on class, you and your partner will create a traditional menu that showcases the rich comfort food and joyful traditions of Polish cuisine.
You’ll begin with gołąbki—tender cabbage leaves stuffed with savory meat and rice, baked in a smoky tomato-bacon sauce. Next, you’ll learn the art of making pierogi, Poland’s most beloved dumpling, filled with creamy potato and cheese, then topped with caramelized onions and a dollop of cool sour cream. To round out the meal, prepare buttery sautéed mushrooms and sweet honey-glazed carrots, simple side dishes that highlight the rustic elegance of Polish home cooking.
No Polish celebration would be complete without something sweet, and you’ll finish the night by frying up pączki, pillowy jam-filled doughnuts traditionally enjoyed on “Fat Thursday” before Lent. Their golden crust and soft, sweet filling are the perfect finale to your feast.
After cooking together, you’ll share your homemade dinner by candlelight while we take care of the cleanup. Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s season, indulging before Lent, or simply eager to explore Poland’s culinary traditions, this experience promises warmth, flavor, and romance in every bite.
BYOB
We suggest a crisp Grüner Veltliner, a light Pinot Noir, a dry Riesling, or a sparkling Cava.
ADMIT TWO
Each ticket admits two people! You don’t have to bring a romantic partner; friends, gal pals, adult kids, parents, anybody you want to share the cooking and eating with is great!
