






About Our Cuban Cooking Class
We dive into the rhythms and flavors of Havana in our Cuban Date Night Cooking Experience, where vibrant ingredients and bold traditions come together in a feast full of color and spice. Together, we’ll cook a menu that captures the heart of Cuba’s kitchens.
We start with crispy plantain chips, golden and addictive, the perfect snack to get us in the spirit of the islands. From there, we’ll braise tender, shredded beef with tomatoes, peppers, and olives to create ropa vieja, a dish whose name means “old clothes” but whose flavor is rich, soulful, and deeply satisfying. To pair with it, we’ll simmer black beans and rice, the cornerstone of Cuban comfort food, and prepare a simple yet elegant avocado salad, brightened with citrus.
We’ll also craft indulgent stuffed and fried mashed potato balls—crispy on the outside, creamy inside, and filled with savory goodness. Finally, we’ll bake a luscious coconut bread pudding, infused with tropical sweetness and warm spices, to close out the meal.
This class is both hands-on and festive. We’ll cook, taste, and share the stories behind each dish while creating a spread that’s as lively as Cuba itself. By the end of the evening, we’ll have brought a little island sunshine to the table.
