SUMMARY:Patagonian Date Night Cooking Experience
DESCRIPTION:About This Patagonian Cooking Class\nJourney to the far south of South America for an evening of Patagonian cooking\, drawing on the food traditions of Chile and Argentina and the ingredients of the mountains\, coasts and ranchlands at the end of the continent. \nWe’ll begin with Chilean salsa and rustic bread\, bright with tomatoes\, herbs and a little spice. Next\, you’ll make lamb empanadas with chimichurri\, followed by a rich king crab gratin with white wine\, cream\, breadcrumbs and cheese. We’ll round out dinner with roasted Andean potatoes and a fresh Chilean salad. \nFor dessert\, we’ll make baked custard with candied pumpkin\, a simple combination that’s especially good as the weather turns cool. \nAlong the way\, we’ll talk about the foods and traditions of Patagonia while learning plenty of useful techniques for empanadas\, seafood\, sauces and more. Come hungry—there’s a lot of ground to cover between the Andes and the southern coast\, and we intend to eat our way through a fair bit of it. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nBYOB \n  \nWe suggest a cool-climate white or light red wine — perhaps a Chilean Chardonnay\, Torrontés\, or Pinot Noir. Each pairs beautifully with the richness of the lamb\, the creaminess of the crab\, and the brightness of the chimichurri. \n\n\n\n\n  \nADMIT One \n  \nEach ticket admits one person but don’t let that stop you. Our classes are great to take with friends\, family\, romantic partners\, or anyone who enjoys good food and lots of fun.  \n\n\n\n\n  \nRules & Policies \n  \nComplete Event & Ticket Policies can be found here. Please read them!  \n\n\n\n\n  \nHave More Questions? \n  \nCheck our FAQ\, and then send us a message if you still have questions!

SUMMARY:Spooky Cookie Decorating
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for Halloween with an unreasonable number of spooky sugar cookies! We’ll roll and bake cookies\, mix and work with royal icing\, and then get to the important part: decorating. Ghosts\, witches\, black cats\, bats\, jack-o’-lanterns\, monsters\, cauldrons\, and whatever other creatures seem like a good idea at the time are all fair game. \nWe’ll cover the basics of working with royal icing\, including consistency\, outlining\, flooding\, piping\, and adding details\, but this is very much a class for playing with your food. No decorating experience is necessary\, and perfection is neither expected nor particularly spooky. \n\n\nRoyal icing is happiest when it has plenty of time to dry\, so we recommend leaving your finished cookies with us overnight and picking them up the following day. If you’ve come from farther afield or can’t make it back\, though\, we’ll carefully pack them up for the trip home. (And if the icing gets a little jostled in the car\, you can tell people you were going for The Scream aesthetic.) This is an especially fun class to take with friends! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nADMIT ONE \n  \nEach ticket admits one person\, but don’t let that stop you. This is a great experience to share with friends\, family\, neighbors\, coworkers\, frenemies\, and anybody you want to share the cooking and eating with! \n\n\n\n\n  \nRules &Policies \n  \nComplete Event &Ticket Policies can be found here. Please read them!  \n\n\n\n\n  \nHave More Questions? \n  \nCheck our FAQ\, and then send us a message if you still have questions!

SUMMARY:Salsa & Strings: Caribbean Night
DESCRIPTION:Salsa & Strings: Caribbean Night is what happens when Taco Tuesday widens the lens a little. Same hands-on format\, same lively energy\, but big island flavors. \nWe’ll make ropa vieja — slow-cooked\, shredded beef simmered with tomatoes\, peppers\, and spices — and mofongo\, a Puerto Rican dish of mashed fried plantains mixed with garlic and olive oil. Alongside that\, coconut rice and a bright\, fresh mango-cucumber salad. For dessert\, we’re creating something delicious from passionfruit.  \n We’ll build the meal together and then sit down to enjoy it — inside the kitchen or outside in our gazebo if the weather cooperates. \nAfter dinner\, your chef-instructor will put down the knives\, pick up his violin\, and serenade you with Latin and Caribbean music to close the evening. \nNo rhythm required — just good food\, good music\, and a night that feels a little different from the usual. \nStill Taco Tuesday. Just less… taco-y. Still very Tuesday-y.

SUMMARY:Wild Ozarks Date Night Cooking Experience
DESCRIPTION:An Ozark Mountain Cooking Class\nThere’s more to Ozarks cooking than biscuits and gravy. Our Wild Ozarks Date Night Cooking Experience takes a closer look at the ingredients that grow\, swim and roam right here in our part of the world\, from wild mushrooms and black walnuts to trout\, blackberries and game. \nWe’ll start with smoked trout deviled eggs\, followed by a rich wild chanterelle cream soup. You’ll make warm spoonbread with black walnut honey butter\, then sear elk medallions with a blackberry-port reduction and prepare wilted greens with bacon vinaigrette alongside. For dessert\, we’ll bake a rustic blackberry galette with an acorn shortbread crust. \nAlong the way\, we’ll talk about Ozarks ingredients\, wild foods\, local traditions\, and the ways people have cooked from this landscape for generations. It’s an unusual menu\, a very good dinner\, and one of our favorite ways to celebrate the place we call home. \nCome hungry—and maybe ready to look at the woods around you a little differently. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nBYOB \n  \nWe suggest a Missouri Norton red\, a white Vignoles\, a refreshing local cider\, a smooth small-batch Missouri moonshine\, or a local Bourbon cream liqueur to complement this Ozark Mountain menu.

SUMMARY:French Confectionery Magic Class
DESCRIPTION:French Confectionery Magic explores the delicious little bit of alchemy that happens when France gets its hands on fruit\, sugar\, nuts and chocolate. We’ll make an assortment of traditional confiserie\, which might include jewel-like pâtes de fruits\, almondy calissons\, chewy nougat\, chocolate mendiants\, candied orangettes\, crisp florentines\, and the extraordinary slow transformation of fresh fruit into fruit confit. \nSome confectionery processes take days—or even weeks—so we’ll have a little help from our past selves\, with ingredients prepared at different stages so you can see and work with the entire process without moving into the bakery for a fortnight. Along the way\, we’ll explore candy temperatures\, crystallization\, fruit preservation\, chocolate\, nuts\, and the techniques behind some of France’s most beautiful traditional sweets. \nNo confectionery experience is necessary. Come prepared to play with sugar\, learn some genuinely fascinating techniques\, and leave with a rather unreasonable quantity of very fancy candy. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nADMIT ONE \n  \nEach ticket admits one person\, but don’t let that stop you.  This is a great experience to share with friends\, family\, neighbors\, coworkers\, frenemies\, and anybody you want to share the cooking and eating with!

No decorating experience is necessary\, and perfection is neither expected nor particularly spooky \n\n\nSince it’s actually Halloween\, waiting until tomorrow for the cookies to dry rather defeats the purpose. So\, we’ll pack up your cookies carefully and send them home with you\, ready for the evening’s festivities. (And if the icing gets a little jostled in the car\, you can tell people you were going for The Scream aesthetic.) This is an especially fun class to take with friends. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nADMIT ONE \n  \nEach ticket admits one person\, but don’t let that stop you.
