SUMMARY:Italian Countryside Date Night Cooking Experience
DESCRIPTION:About This Italian Cooking Class\nStep into the sun-drenched rhythm of rural Italy for an evening inspired by the warmth\, generosity\, and richness of life in the countryside. Imagine the rolling vineyards\, olive groves\, and bustling village kitchens where meals are crafted slowly\, with love\, laughter\, and more than a little wine. In this hands-on class\, you\, your partner\, and your new friends will prepare a rustic yet elegant menu that celebrates Italian tradition while offering flavors bold enough to make Nonna proud. \nWe’ll begin with a vibrant antipasta salad brimming with fresh vegetables\, cured meats\, and cheeses—a lively\, colorful start that sets the tone. Then\, we’ll dive into the classic comfort of stuffed artichokes\, tender leaves filled with savory goodness. From there\, the menu continues with a warming white bean gratin\, hearty yet refined\, and handmade agnolotti filled with black garlic and braised short rib\, a dish that balances depth\, earthiness\, and indulgence in every bite. \nFinally\, the evening ends on a sweet note: you’ll learn the art of making crisp\, creamy cannoli\, shaping the shells and filling them with luscious ricotta cream\, just as they’ve been enjoyed across generations. \nThis is more than a cooking class—it’s a celebration of Italian life\, designed for couples\, friends\, or anyone who believes food tastes better when shared. It’s a memorable evening filled with good food\, better company\, and the timeless joy of cooking from the heart. Mangia! \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nBYOB \n  \nWe suggest a bold Barbera\, a smooth Chianti Classico\, a dry Italian Rosato\, a sparkling Lambrusco\, or a rich\, slightly sweet Vin Santo. \n\n\n\n\n  \nADMIT TWO \n  \nEach ticket admits two people! You don’t have to bring a romantic partner; friends\, gal pals\, adult kids\, parents\, anybody you want to share the cooking and eating with is great! \n\n\n\n\n  \nRules & Policies \n  \nComplete Event & Ticket Policies can be found here. Please read them!  \n\n\n\n\n  \nHave More Questions? \n  \nCheck our FAQ\, and then send us a message if you still have questions!

SUMMARY:Dinner on the Orient Express Date Night Cooking Experience
DESCRIPTION:About This Transcontinental Cooking Class\nStep aboard for an unforgettable culinary journey inspired by the legendary luxury train that once carried travelers from Paris to Istanbul in opulent style (and was\, of course\, the setting for one of Hercule Poirot’s greatest triumphs!). Imagine the romance of the rails\, the glittering dining cars\, and the rich blend of cultures that unfolded with every passing stop along the way. \nIn this hands-on cooking class\, we’ll explore the flavors\, traditions\, and stories of the cities and regions along the route—from French countryside classics to Central European comforts and the sweet delights of the Eastern Mediterranean. You won’t just cook; you’ll be transported. \nTogether\, we’ll prepare and enjoy a generous\, elegant meal:• PARIS: French cheese & charcuterie• STRASBOURG: Onion bacon tart flambée (Flammekuchen)• MUNICH: Weisswurst with sweet mustard• VIENNA: Imperial asparagus salad• BUDAPEST: Chicken paprikash• BUCHAREST: Cheesy polenta with mushrooms• ISTANBUL: Walnut baklava \nThis is a full dinner experience\, taught in a relaxed\, welcoming atmosphere—perfect for couples\, friends\, food lovers\, or anyone who dreams of traveling with their tastebuds. You’ll leave with new cooking skills\, a happy heart\, and a very full belly. \n…Hopefully no one gets stabbed. \nNo prior cooking experience is necessary. Just bring your appetite\, your curiosity\, and your sense of adventure! \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nBYOB \n  \nWe suggest a Pinot Blanc\, an Austrian Grüner Veltliner or German Riesling (Dry)\, a Hungarian Bikavér (Egri Bikavér / “Bull’s Blood”)\, or a Turkish Öküzgözü or Kalecik Karası (or a floral Muscat if you prefer sweet). If you really want to channel your inner Poirot\, there’s always sirop de cassis!

SUMMARY:The Great Cheeses Tasting Experience
DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever stared at a bountiful cheese counter and pondered what exactly IS a mimolette? this is the tasting for you! Our expert cheesemaker Ryan Mihalik will lead you on a tour of some of the world’s great cheeses and help you develop the confidence to buy\, cook with and devour cheese with confidence! \nEach ticket admits ONE PERSON\, and every person needs a ticket.  \n\nTICKET TERMS\, POLICIES\, & USEFUL INFORMATION: \nBy purchasing this ticket\, we agree that we understand that we are joining the Pickwick & Cherry Cooking Club\, a private\, fraternal organization\, and that all food will be prepared by members of the club. We understand that cooking is an activity that involves some inherent danger\, including but not limited to cuts\, burns\, slips and falls\, and other risks\, and we waive all liability and hold Pickwick & Cherry harmless in the unlikely event we are injured. \nWe understand and agree to the Cancellation Policy\, which states that “Class reservations are like theatre tickets – the show must go on! Therefore\, if you find that you cannot make it\, we strongly encourage you to send someone else in your place. If need to cancel more than 30 days before your class\, you may without penalty. If you need to cancel within 30 days\, but more than 14 days\, you may switch your reservation to any other of our classes with space available (and pay the difference if necessary). If you must cancel within 14 days\, you may exchange your reservation only if we can fill your space in the class. We will certainly work with you to find someone to take your space if we can help\, but we encourage you to find someone on your own. If we cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances or lack of interest\, we will refund you in full.” \nWe understand and agree to the Appropriate Attire Policy\, which states\, “Please wear appropriate clothes for a hands-on cooking experience. We discourage long flow-y sleeves\, lots of fringe\, anything with glitter\, things that stain easily\, and anything else impractical for standing and moving on floors that contain drains\, grates\, uneven surfaces\, and potential slippery areas. FLAT SHOES FOR WOMEN ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.” \nWe understand and agree that viral transmission and exposure is a potential risk in any setting where people from multiple households are present\, and we accept this risk. We also agree to abide by any stated viral precautions\, including but not limited to mask wearing\, hand washing\, or other precautions that management may deem appropriate.  \nWe understand that alcoholic beverages may be consumed by people of legal age on a BYOB basis\, but that the hosts reserve the right to restrict the times at which alcohol may be consumed\, or may cut off any guest’s alcohol consumption at any time in the interest of the safety and comfort of all present.

SUMMARY:Home Cheesemaking Class
DESCRIPTION:How is liquid milk turned into hard cheese?  It is a simple question with a complex but accessible answer that goes back thousands of years.  It is also a fun and easy project for your own kitchen!   \nIf you have ever wondered how cheese is made\, or just have a healthy interest in a new cooking project\, this class is for you.  There is nothing quite like the simple steps that lead to the complex alchemy that is cheese making.  And the fresh cheeses you will learn to make never taste better than when they are freshly made by your own hands.  In this class we will learn to make three of the simplest but most ancient and delicious cheeses possible.  We will learn to make fresh Ricotta\, the simplest of cheeses with the fewest ingredients and a magic moment of transformation.  We will learn Fromage Blanc\, a rich and creamy spreadable cheese whose delicious flavor is matched only by its ease and wonder of creation.  Lastly\, we will learn the 30 minute Mozzarella technique.  It’s the most involved of the three\, but also the most fun\, most versatile\, and will certainly earn you the most bragging rights. And time permitting\, we might even make our own burrata!  \n Together we will learn every step of each process hands on and discuss where to get the very limited amount of equipment and ingredients to launch your own unlimited home cheesemaking adventures. This is a great class to bring Mom to for Mother’s Day!  \n  \nAbout the Instructor \n Ryan Mihalik is a professional cheesemaker with nearly a decade of professional experience working at dairies across the US\, Europe and Australia. Born and raised in right here in Rountree neighborhood\, he got his first experience in milking and cheesemaking at a local dairy\, and made cheese at home for several years before deciding to pursue it as a full-time career. He most recently spent five years as the head cheesemaker at a sheep dairy in California\, producing high-quality hard and soft cheeses\, yogurt\, and other fermented dairy products for high-end farmers markets across the Bay Area. His passion for his craft has taken him around the world\, apprenticing with expert cheesemakers in France\, Italy\, Austria\, and beyond\, and his wealth of experience gives him unique insight into translating professional methods and safety precautions to the home cheese making scale.  \n\n\n\n\nTICKET TERMS\, POLICIES\, & USEFUL INFORMATION: \nBy purchasing this ticket\, we agree that we understand that we are joining the Pickwick & Cherry Cooking Club\, a private\, fraternal organization\, and that all food will be prepared by members of the club.
