SUMMARY:Classic American Pies
DESCRIPTION:Pie is the great American dessert — flaky crust\, bubbling fruit\, bright citrus\, and clouds of toasted meringue. In this hands-on baking class\, we’ll dive into the techniques behind some of the most beloved pies in the American repertoire. \nWe’ll begin with the foundation of great pie: an all-butter crust that’s tender\, flaky\, and easy to work with. You’ll learn how proper mixing\, resting\, and rolling create the delicate layers that make a pie crust truly exceptional. \nFrom there we’ll build four classic pies that showcase different techniques and textures. We’ll make a blueberry lattice pie\, learning how to properly thicken juicy fruit fillings and weave a beautiful lattice top. A traditional cherry pie brings the deep\, bright flavor that defines summer fruit pies. Then we’ll shift to custard pies with a vibrant key lime pie — smooth\, tangy\, and perfectly balanced. \nFinally\, we’ll finish with the showstopper: lemon meringue pie. You’ll learn how to cook a glossy lemon filling and top it with billowy meringue that toasts into golden peaks. \nAlong the way we’ll cover the small details that make a big difference: preventing soggy bottoms\, controlling fruit juices\, shaping decorative crusts\, and achieving the perfect bake. \nWhether you’re baking for summer gatherings\, holiday tables\, or simply because pie makes people happy\, this class will give you the confidence and technique to make beautiful\, delicious pies at home. \nCome ready to roll dough\, fill pies\, and taste enthusiastically.

SUMMARY:Halfling Birthday Party - Second Lunch
DESCRIPTION:There are many ways to celebrate a birthday (or two!). We prefer the kind that involves pastry\, potatoes\, cake\, and perhaps one meal too many. \nJoin us for a cozy fantasy-inspired cooking experience as we prepare a feast fit for a very special occasion. Together we’ll make Mushroom Hand Pies\, Pork & Apple Sausage Rolls\, Rosie’s Party Potatoes\, Gaffer’s Garden Salad\, Apple Dumplings\, and a Honey Spice Birthday Cake. \nAlong the way we’ll work with pastry dough\, learn a few kitchen tricks\, share a meal\, and create the sort of spread that would make any lover of comfort food feel right at home. \nChoose your preferred seating: \n• Elevensies\n• Second Lunch \nCostumes are welcome but not required. Good appetites are strongly encouraged. \nWhether you’re a fan of fantasy adventures\, cozy kitchens\, abundant tables\, or simply eating delicious food with interesting people\, this class is for you. \nAfter all\, birthdays come but once a year. SUMMARY:Oktoberfest Date Night Cooking Experience
DESCRIPTION:About our Oktoberfest Date Night Cooking Experience\nProst! Get ready to raise a glass and celebrate Oktoberfest with a night full of flavor\, laughter\, and hands-on Bavarian cooking. This isn’t just any cooking class—it’s a lively date night that captures the warmth\, heartiness\, and cheer of Germany’s most famous festival. Think clinking steins\, the smell of fresh-baked pretzels\, and the joy of cooking something delicious together. Lederhosen and dirndls are totally optional—but if you wear them\, you’ll definitely earn extra applause! \nWe’ll kick things off with warm pretzel pockets—golden brown on the outside\, soft on the inside\, and stuffed with gooey cheese\, smoky ham\, and tangy mustard. (We’ll prep the dough in advance so you get straight to the fun part: stuffing\, shaping\, and baking!) Then\, roll up your sleeves to hand-make spätzle noodles just like Oma would have made them. Next\, we’ll simmer beer-braised bratwurst with sauerkraut until juicy and savory\, and toss together a warm German potato salad that’s bright\, tangy\, and just the right amount of comfort food. \nAnd because no Oktoberfest is complete without something sweet\, dessert is a show-stopping\, team effort: a giant\, six-foot-long apple strudel! Together\, you’ll stretch the dough paper-thin (don’t worry\, we’ll teach you the tricks of the trade)\, fill it with cinnamon-spiced apples and toasty breadcrumbs\, and roll it into a golden\, fragrant masterpiece. When it comes out of the oven\, the first slice will have everyone grinning. \nBring your favorite Oktoberfest brew\, your favorite person\, and your best appetite. We’ll bring the recipes\, the music\, and the fun. By the end of the night\, you’ll feel like you’ve danced\, cooked\, and feasted your way through Munich—without ever leaving the Ozarks. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nBYOB \n  \nWe suggest an Oktoberfest/Märzen beer\, of course! If you prefer wine\, any white German or Austrian wine would be perfect (dry or sweet\, take your pick!) \n\n\n\n\n  \nRules & Policies \n  \nComplete Event & Ticket Policies can be found here. Please read them!  \n\n\n\n\n  \nHave More Questions? \n  \nCheck our FAQ\, and then send us a message if you still have questions!

SUMMARY:Spooky Cookie Decorating
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for Halloween with an unreasonable number of spooky sugar cookies! We’ll roll and bake cookies\, mix and work with royal icing\, and then get to the important part: decorating. Ghosts\, witches\, black cats\, bats\, jack-o’-lanterns\, monsters\, cauldrons\, and whatever other creatures seem like a good idea at the time are all fair game. \nWe’ll cover the basics of working with royal icing\, including consistency\, outlining\, flooding\, piping\, and adding details\, but this is very much a class for playing with your food. No decorating experience is necessary\, and perfection is neither expected nor particularly spooky. \n\n\nRoyal icing is happiest when it has plenty of time to dry\, so we recommend leaving your finished cookies with us overnight and picking them up the following day. If you’ve come from farther afield or can’t make it back\, though\, we’ll carefully pack them up for the trip home. (And if the icing gets a little jostled in the car\, you can tell people you were going for The Scream aesthetic.) This is an especially fun class to take with friends! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nADMIT ONE \n  \nEach ticket admits one person\, but don’t let that stop you. This is a great experience to share with friends\, family\, neighbors\, coworkers\, frenemies\, and anybody you want to share the cooking and eating with! \n\n\n\n\n  \nRules &Policies \n  \nComplete Event &Ticket Policies can be found here. Please read them!  \n\n\n\n\n  \nHave More Questions? \n  \nCheck our FAQ\, and then send us a message if you still have questions!

SUMMARY:Proper British Date Night Cooking Experience
DESCRIPTION:Our Proper British Date Night Cooking Experience takes on some of the classics of British cooking\, including one of the great dinner-party centerpieces: Beef Wellington. \nYou’ll make your own individual Beef Wellingtons\, wrapping tender beef with mushrooms and flaky puff pastry\, and learn how to get the pastry crisp and golden while keeping the beef properly cooked. Alongside\, we’ll prepare honey-glazed roasted parsnips\, champ (creamy mashed potatoes with butter and scallions)\, and asparagus with homemade hollandaise. \nFor dessert\, we’ll make sticky toffee pudding with whiskey and warm toffee sauce\, because the British are very good at puddings and there is no reason to argue with them about it. \nAlong the way\, you’ll learn plenty of useful techniques for working with puff pastry\, cooking beef\, making hollandaise\, and getting the whole dinner to the table at the same time. It’s hearty\, properly British\, and an excellent dinner for a chilly evening. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nBYOB \n  \nWe suggest a Pinot Noir\, a merlot-heavy Bordeaux\, or a late-harvest Riesling. If beer’s your thing\, we suggest an English brown ale or a dry Irish stout. And of course\, a gin and tonic is always a British staple! \n\n\n\n\n  \nADMIT ONE \n  \nEach ticket admits one person but don’t let that stop you. SUMMARY:Alpine Escape Date Night Cooking Experience
DESCRIPTION:Head for the mountains with our Alpine Date Night Cooking Experience\, featuring some of our favorite dishes from Switzerland\, Austria\, Bavaria\, and the surrounding Alps. \nWe’ll begin with bubbling cheese fondue with plenty of good things for dipping\, followed by a Swiss mountain salad with greens\, hard-boiled eggs\, herbs\, and a bright dressing. You’ll also make bread and cheese dumpling soup\, which is approximately as cozy as a bowl of soup can get. \nFor the main course\, we’ll slow-roast a beautiful skin-on pork belly until tender\, with shatteringly crisp skin\, and serve it with beer gravy and potatoes. \nAnd because the Austrians have very good ideas about dessert\, we’re making two. You’ll learn Kaiserschmarrn\, a fluffy caramelized pancake torn into pieces and dusted with powdered sugar\, as well as Salzburger Nockerl\, a dramatic baked soufflé traditionally shaped to resemble the mountains surrounding Salzburg. \nAlong the way\, you’ll learn plenty of useful techniques (from fondue and dumplings to getting that pork skin properly crisp) and sit down together to enjoy everything you’ve made. It’s hearty\, generous mountain food\, exactly right for a chilly evening. \nCome hungry. Seriously. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nADMIT ONE \n  \nEach ticket admits one person but don’t let that stop you.
